SEO Content Strategy During Covid-19 | Tips & Tricks | HariHaran G
Dear Digital Connections,
We, as Marketers, are investing a lot of our time in SEO now-a-days. Considering the economic crisis, there’s a good chance we will be concentrating on SEO & content writing in the future as well.
With more than 50% of searches ending up as "Zero-click searches", how do we need to plan our content strategy?

Before we go into how we can approach Zero-Click Searches, let's discuss what a Zero-Click Search is, and what causes it.
A Zero-Click Search is when the user finds his answer without even clicking a result. The result pops up right at the top. When I search for "Selenium Training in Theni", the result is displayed as.
Here, I can see that the components are Active Directory and SharePoint Online and two more (Office 365, Onedrive for Business- I know about this through work😅). So here, the user gets his answer without even clicking the result, and this is called a Zero-Click or No-Click Search. In other words, featured snippets and answer boxes cause Zero-Click searches.
Snippets can be classified as:
- Paragraph featured snippets
- List featured snippets
- Table featured snippets
- Video featured snippets
However, featured snippets won't give traffic to your website. Should you optimize your page for it?
To decide, ask these two questions:
- Will my business get any benefit for this query even without traffic?
- Will my team give credit for ranking a query that doesn't send traffic?
If your answer is Yes for both the questions, that's great my friend, you can give a shot. To help you further, here is a list of keywords that triggers featured snippets.
My suggestion on featured snippets would be,
- Target top-funnel awareness keywords for featured snippets
- Make sure your high conversion keyword doesn't show featured snippets as a result.
Happy Marketing and Stay Digital...!
